In 2020 Andrea Walker put a shout out on facebook for her daughter to start her own social media business.
After speaking to both herself and her daughter, we invited them together to take part in The Prosperity Project- Journey of 1,000 Steps-- Mother as supervisor and daughter as apprentice, however covid-19 had other plans.
As homeschooling for Andrea's daughter (and my own children too) threw everybody's world upside down, Andrea took more responsibility so her daughter could juggle home and in person schooling, until eventually it was decided that school should come first and the roles would be officially reversed:
Andrea would become the student, and I would guide her as best I could, and then her daughter (and other students of the project) could follow what we were doing as a show and tell resource.
As what happens most times with the universal law of attraction, Andrea ended up being our perfect choice of student.
She has interests in women's issues including mental health and domestic violence, has gone through a similar journey of self-exploration as myself, and has a passion project of The Survival Lady in addition to her new startup at twosassymedia.com.au.
I chose the Katy Perry song of Firework to represent Andrea's portfolio to summarise that feeling of being on the edge of losing it all yet knowing you have something amazing inside to contribute and share with the world.
All of us at some stage or another in our life will be as Katy Perry puts it:
"Like a house of cards
One blow from caving in..."
but if you can find the strength and courage to keep going, one day you will find yourself with just enough breathing space to get back on track and light the world up with your unique talents and gifts.
To see the work Andrea contributed to the project along with the corresponding allocated cards, please see below.
Please note: Andrea's portfolio is a work in progress for the entire duration of the project and we have no idea whether or not she will make it through the entire journey.
She has currently been commissioned for half of foundation one (cards 1-6) and as such her portfolio will be updated daily until all work has been submitted.
Although none of us including Andrea know the outcome of whether or not she will make it the entire way, we will be here by her side and cheering her on step by step, and hope you will support her too!
