Step 39- Areas of expertise, walking when you can and a loving-kindness meditation
This month we explore personal branding and loving kindness.
Welcome to Step 39 of The Prosperity Project Journey of 1000 Steps.
Today's tasks are listed below but please remember this is only 1% of your day and if you have more time please extend each activity.
Remember you are aiming for consistency!!
It's better to walk for 5 mins each day and build a daily habit than go walking for 10kms on a Sunday and do nothing on any other day.

Body Task: Move It
Put your shoes on and walk to the letter box.
We currently do not have a facilitator for this month's body task, so please keep going with your walking and remember that it is all about building the habit one step at a time.
All that is required to complete today's body task is to get your trainers on and walk to the letterbox.
If you can go further than the letterbox this is awesome but not required to complete today's task.
Although this task seems simple it has been designed to encourage consistency and habit building.
Everybody can take 4 minutes out of their day to exercise.
Please remember this is all about forming habits.
Extended task: Walk for 8mins instead of 4mins.

Mindset Task: Loving Kindness
Loving Kindness Meditation
During the first 30 steps of The Prosperity Project we learned how to prepare for meditation and also set up a meditation practice.
In Card number 2, once again, you can set up your meditation practice by choosing a time of day and location to meditate in every day.
At your set time and in your set location listen to today’s Loving Kindness meditation.
At the end of your meditation if you have time journal about your experience – this will help bring awareness to how you are feeling and if anything arose for you during meditation.
Each day starting from tomorrow I will give you a question to contemplate to help with focusing on learning to love yourself.

Business Task: Personal Branding
Decide on 3 key areas of expertise which set you apart from others
Today we continue on with personal branding, by looking at 3 key areas of expertise that set you apart from others in your field.
Today's task for personal branding is to define 3 key areas of expertise that set you apart from others, so you can clearly communicate to someone why they should choose you and your personal brand, rather than the girl who works next to you and does the exact same thing.
Key areas of expertise can be anything.
Please don't think it needs to be academic, because this is definitely not the case...but it does need to be a defining point in helping your customer choose why they want to work with you instead of someone else.
For an example let's have a look at two women who both specialise in content marketing.
Let's make both marketers:
- female, and
- aged 45, and
- local in the community
And imagine you know both girls personally.
The only thing which makes them different is their skillset or expertise.
Which one are you going to choose and why?
This is where you need to take a minute to clearly explain what makes you different to the others in your field you are being compared to.
An example of this I always say to the women I work with is as follows:
Imagine I am going to refer your business to my best friend who has a problem that I know you can solve with your business.
Imagine that I say:
"Oh....go see Nina, she'll help you do....(what?) she's (what?) and (what?) and (what?)
Here's a finished example.
"Oh...go see Nina, she's a (What?) content marketer, who specialises in (what?) journey mapping, (what?) empathy mapping (what?) and creative strategy (what?)
Now it's your turn.
Imagine I am going to refer you to my best friend who has a problem I know you can solve with your business.
Imagine I say:
"Oh....go see (insert your name),
she'll help you do....(what do you do?)
she's (what key areas of expertise do you specialise in?)
and (what key areas of expertise do you specialise in?)
and (what key areas of expertise do you specialise in?)
