Step 80- Convey feelings through colours and choose a new path
This month we explore values & purpose, business branding and walking as a way to build healthy habits.
Welcome to Step 80 of The Prosperity Project Journey of 1000 Steps.
Today for our body task we continue walking. You may have started automatically walking a particular path, so maybe today is the day to mix it up a bit! Try a new walking path and see what you discover.
For both mind and business task's we focus on colour. Use colours to help convey feelings.
Feel free to reach out to us at anytime, we would love to hear your feedback and how you are progressing.
Have a great day today, and remember:
You have the power to create
You have the passion to succeed
You have the resources you need to find your solution
YOU have the power to create
YOU have the passion to succeed
YOU have resources to find a solution
Body Task: Keep Moving
Put your shoes on and go for a walk during your lunch break
One of the key steps to having a healthy body is to move it whenever you can.
All that is required to complete today's body task is to get your trainers on at lunch time and go for a nice leisurely stroll around the block.
If you are totally quarantined in the house or at work, look for stairs or a place somewhere in the house or at work where you can walk on the spot if you have to!!
Just make sure wherever you are--that you are interrupting the habit of being stationary at lunch, and replacing the habit with getting up and moving about instead.
Although this task seems simple it has been designed to encourage consistency and habit building.
Every single person can take a minimum 4 minutes out of their day to exercise.
Please remember this is all about forming habits.
If you want to track your steps or know how many km's you've done we recommend that you invest in a Garmin watch but also looks great too, so you can go from walking and back to the office and still look the part 😉

Mind Task: Values & Purpose
Meditate: Body Scan Meditation
Continue to listen to the Body Scan Meditation at your set time and in your set location and at the end of your practice journal about your experience.
Today’s task: If the sensation I felt in my body was a colour what would it be?
Remember any time you are feeling heightened with emotion, take the time to check into the body and see what part of the body this emotion is affecting.
If you want to extend your practice then there is a longer version of this meditation for sale in the shop.
Business Task: Business Branding
Choose brand colours for the mood board you created yesterday
Yesterday you created your mood board in canva or photoshop.
Today you bring it to life by adding 5 colours you want associated with your brand, keeping in mind that colour contributes to how your customers and suppliers feel when they come in contact with the content you create.
So let's have a quick crash course on colour!
Humans are naturally attracted to colour and this can consciously or sub-consciously make a difference in helping customers align with how they feel about your business brand and the content you present to them.
Using colour in your imagery can help customers “lean in” and naturally gravitate to your content without expressly using words.
A great example of this is the colour green which is used for health and wellness, and is easily identifiable to many people as a soothing colour.
As well as colour, there are other subconcious things humans look for too.
Some of these are natural and if we imagine our spouse our friend has asked us a question like:
Which website look do you like better? Something clean or something cluttered?
Something dark or something light?
Something easy to read or something hard to read?
Something that looks professional or something which looks handmade? It can help us understand the "look" we want our business to put forth to the world with the brand colours, fonts and imagery that we choose to use.
Every time a customer interacts with the content your business creates and distributes, they consciously and subconsciously form an opinion on whether they want to interact with your company or not.
You can allow for this by telling the customer a truthful story about your business and allowing for their feelings at the same time.
You do this by allowing for design, human behaviour and data to all work together seamlessly to give the customer what they need at the exact point in time they need, so they can make a decision on whether or not to engage with your business.
Use the space below to write three feelings you want your brand to encompass and the colours which will help you achieve this.
I'll add a copy of one of my personal brand worksheets below to get you started.
